Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó Scholarships
Financial scholarships and grants are available to incoming first-year students, transfer students, out-of state students, international students, and current Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó students.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó has increased funding to merit scholarships. New students who have been admitted to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó will automatically be considered for all merit-based scholarships at the time they are admitted.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó is test optional. SAT and ACT scores will not be considered when awarding merit-based scholarships.
If an additional application is required for a scholarship, your admissions counselor will contact you with details after your application to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó has been received. Apply to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó now.
- Scholarships for First-Year Students

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó Community Scholarship
- First-year merit scholarships are awarded based on academic core GPA and strength of program (such as AP, IB, and dual enrollment coursework)
- Award amounts up to $2,000 per year
- Additional funds may be granted based on financial need (as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Must attend full-time (minimum of 12 credits/semester) and live on-campus (and incur housing charges)
- Renewable awards can be received for a total of 4-years of undergraduate studies as long as the student lives on campus and continues to incur housing charges
International Baccalaureate Scholarship
Through the International Baccalaureate Scholarship, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó recognizes the rigorous academic preparation students have undertaken on their way to earn an IB diploma and grants them a one-time award of $1,000.
Multicultural Fellows Program Scholarship
Multicultural Fellows receive a substantial scholarship, which helps support their education at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ. The Multicultural Fellows Scholars program recruits and strives to retain high-achieving students from historically disenfranchised backgrounds. Specifically, the program supports students from low-income communities who have been excluded from higher education opportunities.
- First year students are awarded in early February.
- Award amount: $7,000 per year
- Renewable for a total of 4 years of undergraduate studies
- Funds are applied to on-campus room charges
- Students are required to live on-campus
- No GPA requirement for renewal

PTK Scholarship for Transfers
- Awarded to new transfer students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Awarded at time of admission
- Award amount: $1,500 per year, for non-tuition expenses
- Students must attend full-time (minimum of 12 credits/semester)
- Renewable up to 3 years (depending on the number of credits transferred in to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ)
Corning Community College STEM Careers Pathway Scholarship for Transfers
Awarded to an incoming Corning Community College transfer students to complete their education at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó in a STEM field. Four students will receive $2,000 per year for two years. Each student will receive a total of $4,000.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó Transfer Scholarship
- Awarded based on the applicant's cumulative college transfer GPA (calculated by the admissions staff using all college credit-bearing coursework completed at the point of review). In order for transfer applicants to be considered for the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó Transfer Scholarship, official college transcripts must be received for all credit-bearing coursework the student has taken prior to their intended entry term at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ.
- Award amounts up to $2,000 per year
- Students must attend full-time (minimum of 12 credits/semester)
- Renewable up to 3 years (depending on the number of credits transferred in to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ)

Scholarship for Out-of-State Students
(Effective beginning with the 2024-25 academic year)
First-Year Students
- First-year, out-of-state students are awarded the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó Community Scholarship based on core GPA (calculated using grades in math, science, English, social studies, and foreign language at the time of acceptance.)
- Award amounts up to $8,000 per year
- Must attend full-time (minimum of 12 credits/semester)
- Renewable for a total of 4-years of undergraduate studies as long as student lives on campus and continues to incur housing charges
- No GPA requirement for renewal
- Funds will be applied to on-campus room charges
Transfer Students

International applicants do not need to complete any additional applications to be considered for the scholarships below.

International Baccalaureate Scholarship
Through the International Baccalaureate Scholarship, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó recognizes the rigorous academic preparation students have undertaken on their way to earn an IB diploma and grants them a one-time award of $1,000 for the 2024–25 academic year.
International Student Academic Merit Scholarship Awards
These tuition scholarships are awarded at the time of admission with amounts up to $8,000 USD per year. Awards are based on outstanding academic achievements as evidenced by grades on transcripts (or mark sheets), results on national examinations.
Academic scholarships are renewable for up to four years with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. International applicants admitted to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó are automatically considered for an International Student Scholarship. First-year and transfer students are eligible for the International Student Scholarships.
The priority deadline for scholarships is January 1 for Fall semester and October 1 for Spring semester. Scholarships will be awarded on a case-by-case basis as available after those dates.
Ambassador Apartments World Citizen Scholarships for International Students
Two awards for the international students who best demonstrate awareness and understanding of what it means to be a world citizen. Endowed by Mr. Frank Csapo of the Ambassador Apartments. The Director of the International Student & Scholar Services office and the International Scholarship Committee choose the recipients.
VanArsdale Scholarships
One award is made each year to support an international student who demonstrates excellence in academics at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ. Endowed by Mr. And Mrs. VanArsdale, the recipient is chosen by the Director of the International Student & Scholar Services office and the International Scholarship Committee.
Muriel A. Daniels International Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is supported by an endowment established by Robert and Marilyn Lyon in honor of Marilyn's mother, Muriel. It provides a scholarship to an outstanding Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó international student with preference given to a Canadian student with a solid academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA) who demonstrates leadership, respect, loyalty and integrity.

Current Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó students may apply for scholarships made available through the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó Foundation by using , our online scholarship management system. Academic Works allows current students to view and apply for more than 120 Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó scholarships in one convenient location.

The 2024-25 scholarship application process is now closed. The 2025-26 scholarship application is scheduled to open on February 1, 2025.

Federal, State, and SUNY Grants and Scholarships
New York State residents whose family household federal adjusted gross income is $125,000 or less and who plan to complete at least 30 credits per year are eligible for the Excelsior Scholarship, which allows them to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free.
Federal, NY State and SUNY grants are available and awarded based on financial need (this happens after you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
AmeriCorps Scholarships
For AmeriCorps alumni, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó will match the with another $1,000 in scholarship support.
