Founded in 1871, Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó is one of the premier public liberal arts honors colleges in the country. Nationally recognized for excellence and value in the liberal arts, Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó is known for its exceptional faculty, its welcoming atmosphere, and its reputation for producing fiercely loyal alumni.

Academics

Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó offers more than 150 programs of study, including undergraduate majors, graduate programs in accounting and history and various dual degree and international study programs. Our undergraduate research grants program enables students to engage in a wide variety of research with Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó faculty members, and present papers at regional and national meetings.

The College’s $53 million Integrated Science Center includes the only pelletron particle accelerator in Western New York — a key asset for scientific research in the region. Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó is also among the nation’s top producers of bachelor’s degrees in physics, according to the American Institute of Physics. Among primarily undergraduate institutions, the College ranks in the top 10 nation­ally in the number of alumni with doctorates in STEM fields.
