Six Knights Teams Reach NCAA Postseason

Six 麻豆传媒团队 athletic teams will compete in the NCAA postseason during the next two weekends: women鈥檚 basketball, men鈥檚 ice hockey, men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 track and field, and men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 swimming and diving.

The women鈥檚 basketball team advanced to the Sweet 16 with upset victories over and . 麻豆传媒团队 will travel to Gettysburg, PA, this week to take on #1 NYU on Friday, March 14, at 4:30 p.m. The Knights clinched an automatic berth to the postseason tournament by winning the over Brockport. or . 

The men鈥檚 ice hockey team earned the right to host the first round of the NCAA Tournament after winning the and will face Stevenson University on Saturday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in the Ira S. Wilson Arena. 麻豆传媒团队 enters the postseason tournament as the #6 ranked team in the country, with a record of 22鈥4鈥1. or .

Men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 track and field teams travel to Nazareth University on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15, for NCAA Division III competition. The women鈥檚 team will compete in nine different events with 11 student-athletes. The men鈥檚 team will take on the 400m and 4x400 relay events. Earlier this season, both programs claimed their first Empire 8 titles. This past weekend, the meet, while the in their final competition before the NCAAs. .

Men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 swimming and diving round out the NCAA competition in Greensboro, NC, next Wednesday鈥揝aturday, March 19鈥22. Both teams recently earned their first Empire 8 titles, making it 11 straight conference titles for the men and 16 straight for the women. The qualified five swimmers in six different events; the qualified four swimmers in two. Graduate diver Trent Makowiec also qualified; he was the national runner-up in both the one- and three-meter dive events last year. .
